A Unique History of The
Los Angeles Salad Company

The year was 1939, the same year “Gone With The Wind” was filmed.

Over 68 years ago the founders of the Los Angeles Salad Company delivered their first load of freshcut vegetables to Chasens, a famous Los Angeles eatery. 

After 6 decades as a leader of the fresh-cut industry in Southern California, we're still working hard to serve you.

Our product line includes freshcut products for foodservice and a full line of specialty veggies for our retail customers.

The first big winter storm of 2002 dropped a lot of rain.  We suffered damage to our roof and it soon became apparent that we would have to move out of our facility in downtown Los Angeles.  

In September 2003 we began the process of relocating.   An army of workers planned, moved and installed machinery and materials.  We are proud of our team and all of the work they accomplished! 

We are grateful to our loyal customers and friends who supported us during the storm.
